On Creating a Home

My goal is to live a gracious and contented life in a home that is ageless and resonates warmth and comfort through my personal style.

A home is where one's life should feel centered and grounded; where one's soul can find quiet and peace.  A refuge, a retreat, a haven.

A house is not automatically a home--it becomes a home.  It doesn't happen with just furnishings or decorating.  It's the added touches, the addition of the things you love, value and cherish, that reflect who you are and add character.

Your home should be everything you want your life to be.  If you write a brief description of your ideal home, you should be able to replace the words "my home" with "my life."

And you should love to come home.  In your home you should feel enveloped in your cocoon, secure in your domain, able to completely relax and be most yourself.
