Breaking Ground!

OMGosh! I wasn't sure this day would ever come! The building permit was finally issued--almost five months to-the-day after submission. When I went to pay the fees, I casually asked how long the average wait is. I got the same answer I got five months ago: "six weeks." They may want to revise that! With the move of the garage, we need to submit revised civil and structural engineering for that area. Hopefully, as a change, we can push it through faster. But the good news is, the excavation has begun! Skip (builder), Sadie and I were there to witness the official ground breaking. This is the corner of my living room!
