2. In Architecture: a whimsical or extravagant structure built to serve as a conversation piece, lend interest to a view, commemorate a person or event, etc.: found especially in English gardens in the 18th century--preferably with a wildly improbable legend attached.
To my surprise, I realize I actually have a couple more collections that I didn't include in my post "Curated." It's not important, but I like to be thorough!
